Laila Ali is legendary boxer Muhammad Ali’s daughter, but has become so much more. Laila has been able to step out of her father’s shadow and become a boxing legend of her own as well as a television personality. Laila made her professional boxing debut in 1899 at the age of 21. She faced many leading names in women’s boxing and came out victorious. Laila Ali was named Super Middleweight Champion in 2002. Two years later, she added the International Women’s Boxing Federation’s Light Heavyweight title. Laila’s final fight was in 2007. She then began to work on a media career. Laila became a multimedia personality very quickly. She released a motivational memoir titled Reach!: Finding, Strength, Spirit, and Personal Power. Along with the memoir, she also released a series of workout videos that have become very popular. Laila has also made appearances on a variety of television shows such as, Dancing With the Stars, American Gladiators, Stars Earn Stripes, and co-hosts Everyday Health.
